In 2000, Eric Essix decided to do an album for Zebra Records (WEA) that explored the music that he grew up listening to - soul, R&B, country and especially gospel. That album was called Southbound and it was the start of a journey that produced a second record in 2004 called Somewhere In Alabama. It is only fitting that his latest offering brings him all the way home...home to Birmingham.
